Angela Matfin is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and manages acute (new onset) and urgent conditions.

Angela is able to treat the following conditions:

Abscesses, Acute Abdominal Pain, Acute Asthma, Acute Back Pain, Boils, Cellulitis, Chest Infection, Child Conjunctivitis, Adult Constipation, Cough, Cystitis, Diarrhoea and Vomiting, Dizziness, Earache, Eczema, Emergency Contraception, Eye Infections, Heartburn, Acute Hip Pain, Impetigo/Other Skin Conditions, Infected Wounds, Ingrown Toenails, Knee Injuries, Mumps, Acute Nose Bleeds, Rashes, Shingles, Sinusitis, Sore Throat, Swollen Lips, Raised Temperatures, Urinary-Tract Infections (Water Infections), Vaginal Discharge, Vomiting, Wound Infections

Angela Matfin is unable to treat pregnant women in relation to their pregnancy and children under the age of 2 years.

Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
