When to call 111

You should call 111 when:

  • You think you need to go to A&E or to another NHS urgent care service
  • Your GP surgery is closed and you need healthcare advice
  • You don’t know who to call for medical help

Lemington Resource Centre

Are you aware there is a Nurse Practitioner led Walk in Centre at the Lemington Resource Centre?

No appointment needed.

Who CANNOT attend – Children under the age of two years, chest pain, shortness of breath, head injuries with neurological symptoms, head/neck/shoulder/hip injuries or chemical injuries to the eye.

Conditions that CAN BE treated – coughs and colds; high temperature; simple cuts, grazes and bruises; strains and sprains; bites and stings; stomach upsets; ear, nose and throat problems; minor burns or scalds; emergency contraception; sexual health advice; minor skin infections or rashes; ear syringing and urinary tract infections.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
